I'm surprised you don't have more comments... <_< Hrm... Because this is an epic piece!

Vision [5]
I find this picture was thought out really well! The composition is simple but adds to the impacting/pulling title: "Oath of Agony". A black-hooded being with burning eyes, with a wall of flames behind him. From the pull of the title, image arrangement & focus, colors & shading, this piece doesn't leave you undaunted.

Originality [3]
By no means do you lack skill. I just can't class you 5/5 because countless others have created varied pieces similar.
-A hooded ominous being [check]
-Dangerous scenery behind hooded being [check]
-Overall theme of ominousity [check]

Technique [4.5]
I feel the colors and shading are spot on! Perfect! The only thing to suggest/recommend would be to crisp this image more. I feel there is too much soft lighting here. It brings a bit of a distraction to the viewer. Again, you did amazing with the colors and shading! The lighting itself isn't at all terrible. It's just the overall image is too "soft"

Impact [4.5]
The impact is very strong in this piece. The foreshadowing of the title really adds to effects of viewing this creature. The only thing that lessened it for me was the slight softness of the image. By all means, his eyes DO make him "pop out" but adding a bit more crispness to it would have helped him "pop out" more. Like I feel this had the potential of creating a 5/5 impact- like he was coming for whoever laid eyes on him. Despite my harsh critique of this, I found it quite impactful!

Do not be discouraged in any way. You have every right to feel proud of this piece. You did an amazing job on it! I look forward to seeing more from you ^^

This is a very incredible piece, as it is simple, but it looks really good. The cloak does seem a little too dark though, as you can't really see any of the detail of the cloak, such as wrinkles. Also, I am not sure if it's just me, but the character himself looks a little blurry. Again, that could just be my perception, but I just wanted to let you know just in case. It does do it's job very effectively with the dark colors, and the fire in the background gives it more of a horror feel to it.

I'm not sure whether the skull is supposed to look metallic or simply gray. It could use some sharper hits of shadow and highlights to really make it pop either way. The fiery background could use some brightening as well, it has a grayish cast. The cloak also needs some highlights and some nice folds. You've got a great start on colored lighting though. The tones in the skull and cloak match the lighting expected from the fire, and that can be a hard concept for artists to grasp, especially in digital media. You just need to make those colors really light up. Some sharp hits of bright yellow, orange, and warm white in the eyes and other high points of the piece would really make this come to life. For reference, maybe study a still from the beginning of Terminator 2 when you see the robot standing in fire. It's metallic, but just paying attention to the range of shadows would be a great study in light and 3D rendering.

In the time that I've been on DA I have yet to see someone do Baal. It is no wonder since Baal is not one of the favored characters in the Diablo Universe. But I think in terms of growth, You've done well. As Crestego has said, your flames could use some work. But By far you have me on flames. Mine would only turn out to be noobish and childish but I believe that you are on the right track. Baal as also a little more broad than what you depict him as but that could just be something as simple as a play on his size with him being cloaked like the Wanderer was. I think that this could be a good piece to do a "Draw this Again" meme later when you expand your skill even more. I can see you doing some great things with your digital skills later once you get even more experience under your belt. I really like this and I am actually going to add this to my favorites because this is one of the few Diablo pieces I have seen that wasn't just a normal Line Art drawing.

You'll be surprised just how much you can improve in a short span of time digitally. A few weeks ago I couldn't make anything with my tablet. Nothing but scribbles. Then I pull this out of my ass xD *points to pro pic* I'm a ways away from being on any kind of level that matters, but at least I was able to make something that isn't scribbles.

Wow... you're drawing with a mouse? Dude, you've got stones the size of boulders if you can do this with a mouse. I'd love to see what you could do with a tablet.

Hello! I'm from Project Comment *Insert group symbol here*. I really like the composition and color scheme in this piece, the colors themselves are bold enough to pop out to your eye and make a statement, but subtle enough that it's not blinding. The details on the face are also pretty spookey, which fits the theme of the picture well.

For criticism, I would recommend working on the fire affects; they work but simply don't match the more realistic-style that you're going for. The skull could also due with more details, darkening them and making them sharper could add a creepier feel and vibe. Great job though! You should be proud of the work that you accomplished here.
